Early access builds vs. stable releases: what works best for you?

Hey everyone 👋

We’re iterating on how to structure releases for Voiden.md, and we’d love your input.

Here’s the gist:

• Stable releases: well-tested builds, recommended for all users, (to be) well documented.
• Early access builds: faster updates with the latest (and likely rougher) features.

We may have an initial preference, but we want to hear from you.
If you want to contribute to the discussion, but are not sure where to start, here are a couple of questions to kick things off:

• Would you want early access builds?
• How would you like to access early builds? (opt-in flag, separate download, etc.)
• Any frustrations you’ve had with early access setups in other devtools?
• What’s your tolerance for instability in exchange for early features?
• Any release workflows from other tools you love (or hate)?

None of it is set in stone, we’re here to adapt based on how you use the tool.

This has been implemented. As of 1.0.0-beta.11, Voiden introduced early access builds that everyone can opt in and out in Voiden settings:
