Expansion of Vanilla OS

The developers of Vanilla OS could make an integration of the Batocera emulators function as second desktop and the Bazzite function including Proton DB software for running PC games. Also maybe it could be useful furthermore later to integrate running RavynOS programs-apps as RavynOS includes Linux.

This feels a bit unfair to the developers. Vanilla OS is an open source project, and features like Batocera/Bazzite style integration would likely require a lot of design, maintenance, testing, and support.

If someone really wants this direction, the best path is probably to open a clear proposal, help with research, contribute code, or assist with testing/documentation. Dismissing the work as “too much programming blah blah blah” doesn’t really help the project move forward.

@AndroidDimitris I see your ambitious idea, and thanks for sharing your thoughts! Sadly, rather than simply saying it would "require too much programming" as mentioned below, which in itself doesn't really mean anything, the real issue here is the project's target. Vanilla OS is designed with a very specific focus and philosophy centered around an immutable, reliable, and production-ready system for general purposes and merging entirely different platforms like Batocera, Bazzite, or RavynOS into it would completely change the core nature of the OS and push it away from its philosophy. We love big ideas, but we have to keep the project aligned with its true target and roadmap. Btw, everybody is free to create a custom flavor of Vanilla OS to follow that road like many are already doing for other scenarios!

Regarding the comments below, @ninetsf96, I strongly invite you to choose your words more carefully in the future, because what might seem like a playful or light remark can easily put the project in a bad light and take away value from the hard work of an entire team. Passing the team off as lazy or unwilling to work is highly unfair. We always welcome feedbacks but those must bring value to the discussion, especially when you don't have the slightest idea of the technical effort, architecture, and maintenance required behind the scenes. If you want to contribute here, make sure your comments are constructive instead of just spreading cynicism. Thanks.
