Description
Very good work on the dashboard! I love the color scheme and the header and the choice of KPIs. The labels, titles and subtitles are clear and concise while being informative. I love the card layout too. The Average Goals Scored by Season Period is also nice. I like that the current filters are mentioned in numerous places so that the user can quickly discern what they are looking at.
Major Changes Suggestions:
- The labels (n=18) labels on the axes are confusing. Consider adding some other way of depicting it or making it clearer
- Win Rate chart being a bar chart might not be a good idea because it is a percentage which adds up to 100 while the axes scale according to the data. So it becomes meaningless to compare the bar lengths. Maybe consider setting the axes at 100 or (if you're feeling adventurous!) using joined semi circle charts or another kind of chart. A stacked bar chart could enable you to "show" the n value visually with win percentages all at once instead of writing it down as a number.
- In the AI Explorer tab the left panel is too narrow to read some responses properly, and scrolls with the output. So i have to scroll up and down to look at the charts and the response. It keeps on increasing indefinitely with more questions. Consider making it sticky.
- Consider differentiating between "data not available" and "not played". While selecting a team the selection bar you could have a label mention whether data is available or not (in gray text for eg)
Minor Changes Suggestions:
- The 2 KPIs for avg goals scored and conceded show similar metrics and the label is hard to read because the 3rd word is the key metric (score vs conceded). Maybe highlighting the keyword "Scored" or "Conceded" could be faster for viewers to interpret
- The metric "(-22.3)vs previous season" is a bit confusing on first glance. Highlighting the percentage "(-22.3%)vs previous season" might make it clearer
- The labels Story 1, Story 2 might not be needed for a dashboard viewer
Design Suggestions :
- There could be metrics which compare each team to the season average. This way even while viewing statistics for one particular team they could still broadly compare them with others. This is especially true because the axes of the charts change when u switch the filters but as a viewer you still retain the original size. A team scoring avg of 2 goals could visually look the same as avg of 0.5 goals.
- The choice of charts on the AI explorer tab do not seem to complement the main dashboard charts. There are many cases where the charts have no data to display.
