It takes ages to view image from SMB

Describe the bug
It takes ages to load image from SMB

To Reproduce

1. Open a folder with images on SMB resource
2. Thumbnails loading even for short folders takes minutes (if thumbnails are turned on)
3. An attempt to open an image with default system image application results in waiting rotation animation
4. Other file manager both load thumbnails and open images during a fraction of seconds

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

• Huawei MatePad 11.5S 2026 and Huawei Pura 80
• the last Harmony and EMUI (mostly based on Android 12)
• Rooted: No
• Version: current one from the F-Droid

Same behavior on Google Pixel 8 (Android 16 BP4A.260105.004.E1).

As far as I understand, it's supposed to run a simple local web server on port 7871 to serve the image.
But both Google Photo (as default pics viewer on Pixels) and Chrome cannot get response from that web server (127.0.0.1:7871).

Quick test running curl on Termux
