Sourcespec v2 notebooks

When you are happy with the state of v2, we should add a notebooks folder (including the required test data).

Some possible notebooks:

• General notebook demonstrating all aspects of running sourcespec interactively, including reading/modifying configuration, reading all required data (event information, phase picks, waveform data, station inventories), running sourcespec, printing results, writing output files and generating plots. This could be based on the notebook I already sent you, but using miniseed / qml /stationxml instead of ASDF files
• A notebook demonstrating how to perform multiple runs in a loop, to test different configuration options
• A notebook demonstrating the different ways to deal with ASDF files
• Maybe a notebook where we calculate moment magnitudes for data fetched from the internet
• Maybe a notebook that deals only with the configuration?
• ...

Let me know if you have further ideas. Can we develop this in a separate branch?

Hi Kris,
thanks for this proposal: that looks great!

I would propose to avoid making the main SourceSpec git repository too heavy, by adding test data.

I currently have a separate sourcespec_testruns repository.

So, if you agree, I propose to start a new issue, as well as a new v2 branch, in that repository.

Eventually, I should also improve the command-line examples.
