Got a hoverboard with dead battery and decided to reuse it for something more interesting. Will try to get the FW fully working .
Here are come pictures:

today will try to connect with st-link and check if I can flash anything to the board.
Also I have a question, as some of you know, hoverboard wheels are sometime used as base for direct drive racing wheel,
how hard would be to adopt the hoverboard FW to be used for this purposes maybe as start it can talk with PC through RP2040 ?

I could save original FW, and erased the chip:

it has some similarities with 2.1.20 will see.

Firmware now has position control. 4° resolution. So you could program a force feedback steering wheel..
PID parameters are not really optimized.

You need the binary with windows_RN option to add the additional \R

I have assigned 2.1.25 to your board and added it to the wiki search. Is the mcu a C8T6 or C6T6 ?

C8T6 regarding the binary there is already one or needs to be recompiled ?

You will need to compile your 2.1.25 binary anyway, so you should go for platformio or Keil.

Uses rtt instead of serial.
For serial communication I guess you need to compile yourself.

ok, from autodetect what I could find:
b12 left blue
A15 top blue
b3 top green
b4 top red
b8 right orange
PA4: 25.43 V +- 0.00

on/off button can't be found when disconnect it turns off

Phases also couldn't find.

Also every time conecting power button motor shakes and during hall test it rotates.

Any idea how to find power button ? also regarding autodetect FW is there a project for platformio ?

There is a manual mode with 't' I think that should find the selfHold pin.

on some boards, selfHold and Button can not be held appart.
You could try to assign selfHold in advance to something else like LED_RED and see if then SLELF_HOLD gets detected to some other pin.
Then first selfHold in truth is BUTTON or BUTTON_PU

There is already platformio.ini file.

Code generated only generic FW any tips how to generate autodetect with serial and RN option, I couldn't get RTT python working, library mismatched.
regarding the pins I copied defines_2-x-y to defines_2.1.25.h and started populating with pins I found to compile it I need to include it in main.c ?
Regarding the LEDs boards can have only 5 leds ?

Some feedback:
Autodetect with platformio was giving error, needed to add #include "stddef.h" to setup.c after compilation worked:

still fighting with button and hold can't find it, as I understood I need output and digital write to close transistor, but don't know how to implement it for now.

Phases are not obligatory ? maybe to trace them from the board ?

by default is remote dummy as I understood but wheel doesn't spin, but during hall test it was spinning fine but no hall order could be found , wheel was spinning slowly.
