# Patent Non-Assertion Pledge

Protocol Wealth, LLC ("PW") makes the following non-assertion pledge
regarding patents it holds that cover the pw-planner (pwplan-core) software:

## Covered Patents

1. **USPTO Application #64/082,241** (Filed June 4, 2026)
   "Privacy-by-Construction Financial Planning System with PII-Free Compute
   Plane, Opaque Subject References, and Regime-Adaptive Projection for
   Regulated Financial Advisory Services"
   Status: Patent Pending (provisional; 12-month conversion deadline 2027-06-04)

## Pledge

PW pledges not to assert any of the above-listed patents against any party
for making, using, selling, offering for sale, importing, or distributing
software that is released under an OSI-approved open source license, provided
that such party does not assert patents against PW or its affiliates.

## Apache 2.0 Patent Grant

Under the Apache License 2.0, every contributor grants a perpetual, worldwide,
non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, use,
sell, offer to sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work. This grant terminates
automatically if you institute patent litigation against any entity alleging that
the Work constitutes patent infringement.

## Open Invention Network

Protocol Wealth, LLC is a member of the Open Invention Network (OIN) 2.0
community. OIN is the world's largest patent non-aggression community with
4,100+ members including Google, IBM, Toyota, Meta, Microsoft, and Amazon.

As an OIN member, PW agrees not to assert patents against Linux System
components, and all OIN members agree not to assert patents against PW.

## Intent

This patent was filed defensively to establish formal prior art and prevent
third parties from patenting these concepts and restricting their use by
independent financial advisors, family offices, and the open source community.
