Need to lock axis during drag

• What is the current behavior?
  My use case is I need to drag items within a list to reorder them.
  Need to lock the motion of the dragged item to vertical only.

• What is the expected behavior?
  Would like an Api option to restrict movement to x or y axis during drag.
