Recently used app widgets get squished

This is my dev dashboard with recently_used_apps inside a column with width 8. This is the smallest width before the columns collapse, and you can see the app widgets get very misshapen, and the desktop icon is half cut off.

Obviously the widgets should fill the available space before squeezing, although worst case I imagine we can set a conservative min-width on these to make them wrap into 2 rows before looking this bad.
