Feature Request: Flexible Transcription Placement & Formatting
This will give a toggle for things to be inserted at the cursor or appended

This will enable the user to update the template to include where in the document they want the transcript

Problem:
The current transcription workflow lacks flexibility in:

  1. Header formatting – The #Audio header is auto-appended without an option to disable or customize it.
  2. Insertion position – Recordings default to the end of the document instead of the cursor’s position.
  3. Default visibility – Long transcripts require manual scrolling/folding (no built-in way to collapse them by default).

Proposed Solution:
Add user-defined settings for:

  • Setting where it is in the template: Option to customize where things are inserted in the custom template options
  • Insertion logic: Option to place transcript at cursor position vs. end of file.
  • Folded by default: Transcripts auto-collapse under a foldable header (e.g., %% Audio %% or <details> for HTML-like folding).

Why?
This would align with Obsidian’s modular philosophy, giving users finer control over workflows—especially for long-form notes or lectures.

Example workflow:

  1. User records audio → transcript inserts at cursor.
  2. No forced #Audio header (or user-defined alternative).
  3. Transcript appears folded by default (expandable via click).
