Hi all,

I want to activate the console for VM on Ovirt / OLVM, but I only see the posssibility of Native Console, do you have a solution to use VM console thought https ?

Hey @heller785 there was an older option for html5 consoles that was removed from RHV a while ago: https://github.com/ManageIQ/manageiq-providers-ovirt/pull/458/changes

You can try changing that config setting (https://github.com/ManageIQ/manageiq-providers-ovirt/pull/458/changes#diff-e769bbb8c1ba3711c5403b424ed9c218ffafba7f1890ee394717196f28ff4540R5) and see if it works with OLVM.

Longer term if there are differences between RHV, Ovirt, and OLVM is to introduce a "subclassed" OLVM provider which can account for those differences.

Hi @agrare, yes it would be a great idea to add an OLVM provider, as Ovirt continues its development and OLVM is growing at the same time.

I still cannot get the console working on Ovirt through ManageIQ. I've tried several things but it's impossible to get the console functioning. Do you have any old topics or discussions that explain how to implement the VNC console on Ovirt / OLVM?

Hi @agrare, i've installed the nightly version, and the console is working but we need to disable encrypted VNC Console on OLVM (Ovirt).

Do you have any idea when the Tal version will be available? Or is it possible to create a patch for the Spassky version?

I marked this PR as spassky/yes? so if we do a spassky-2 it would be included. I don't believe we have a spassky-2 planned currently.
@Fryguy can you estimate a tal-1 timeframe?
