For a long while I was using Whicons which looks quite great but not all apps are covered so I was looking for alternatives.

I found Lawnicons - I do love the design (with ticker lines) and Arcticons (less due to thin lines).

However I'm sticking and using Arcticons for now because they provide non-MaterialYou (i.e. non background/border & normal size) icons pack:

I'm not particularly fond of MaterialYou/adaptive icons (they occlude icon shape and make the icon smaller which makes it - for me - harder to find the app I'm looking for) so I'd like to ask if it would be possible to have non-MaterialYou variant release akin to what Arcticons do: https://search.f-droid.org/?q=Arcticons&lang=en

@I21b this is just a "workaround" to the issue…

1. it's only available in Lawnchair (already tried it but it has issues) and I'm using Nova.
2. even if you disable the background the icon is still within the adaptive shape making the icon tiny. (and "scaling" is not the solution either…)

Here's the example of icons in Nova launcher:

origina icon (default added adaptive background) / arctic / snow / lawnicon

As you can see non-adaptive icons without stupid material-you shape are just bigger and easier to distinguish without adding any silly padding that makes them tiny…
