WindowRules.conf update after hyprland v0.53.0 released

hey, i want to ask about the windowRules.conf which is had some problems since it was updated, is there any solution to fix it? because im a beginner hyprland user, thank you

thank you that has already been done. There is a WindowRules-config-v3.conf which has the updated rules
Hyprland released the update before our next release was ready which will install the correct version automatically
Since not all supported distros are up to 0.53 yet.

You have to copy the file manually. copy the WindowRules-config-v3.conf to WindowRules.conf

You are very welcome! I am so glad it worked. Working on a script you can run to fix that We can't make it auto detect unfortunately And not all the distros or users are up to 0.53.x yet to make that the new default. So we just have to deal with until then.

Hey! I tried the above steps doing the Install.sh did not work but the new rules were downloaded after git pull so I just manually changed the source in the hyper.conf, thanks for the guide thanks!!

That is not a good idea. As it might get overwritten in a future update. Better to copy the updated file to the WindowRules.conf instead
