Progress on first release version

Hello! We’ve had quite a bit of progress since this project started, and if you haven’t tried it in a while, here’s a list of features we already have working:

• Simple text
• PDF/EPUB importing
• DOCX importing
• Webpage importing
• Long text pagination
• Simple user system, to save books remotely
• Create a "podcast" of your long text
• Smooth playback using chunks
• Custom chunk length
• Piper TTS w/ model downloader
• Kokoro TTS w/ model downloader
• Kitten TTS
• Speech-To-Text using OpenAI Whisper using microphone or audio file
• Gemini voice and Google Cloud TTS
• OpenAI compatible API endpoints

It’s a pretty big list! So why no version release yet? Basically, once a version is out, it’s out, so I want people’s first impressions to be of everything working, and there’s still quite a bit of bugs about. So, if it’s been a while since you tried, update your repo and see if you can find any bugs.

By the time we get Coqui working it’s release time and we should have a nice landing page ready and it will be time to take on the big players in the TTS space!
