Output translations default string

I want to configure the output translations file to contain the id by default rather than the defaultMessage, or an empty string. In which file can I configure that?

There is currently no option to configure the translation manager like this. One option would be to create your own translation manager based on the exposed core functionality (example).

Another option would be adding this as an option to the translationManager. However, currently I don't really have much time for new features, but feel free to take a stab at a pr!
