Game Automators is an open source organization that is dedicated to building tools and engage student and practitioner communities to share new and innovative ways of using computer and mobile games in a fashion that complement with the university education.
Making learning fun is extremely important and such learning could prove to be a major motivator for a lot more students to take up STEM courses and careers in technology. Access to quality education is still a distant reality for a large section of the population, however with the increase in smart phone penetration, learning content is now available at their fingertips in the form of MOOCs and other open course ware. However, theory and practice applied together have proven to deliver higher learning retention rate and increased interest in the area. The aim of Game Automators is to apply the content in courses of machine learning, computer vision, electronics etc.., to automate the game play in mobile and desktop games.

\section{Upcoming Projects}
Game Automators strives to use open source programming languages as far as possible and automate mobile and computer games using concepts from subjects in computer science, electronics etc.., Making learning fun is an integral part of education and is an important factor in keeping the learner interested and further pursue their interests. Game Automators had initially started as a method to learn and share the learning of automating mobile games. The learners were initially students who had never programmed with either Matlab or Python and had little to no experience with computer vision, machine learning or using electronics and building the circuits. The program over 1 month resulted in the students learning these tools and experimenting their skills by automating simple mobile games. Further open source involvement resulted in more games being automated. Game Automation has proven to be a very interesting way to capture the students' attention to crucial subjects while at the same time allowing the student the creative freedom to explore different algorithms which could aid them in playing the game. However, the process has been very unstructured and needs strong community building reforms and applications to showcase the community creativity. At the same time, the interest for automation exposes open opportunities in the field of automation and teaching curricula to get together and build a framework that can be used for performing the game automation.
\subsection{Game Automation Framework built on top of Scratch }
Game Automators has been a major accomplishment in the last summer and resulted in the release of a book and teaching image processing and computer vision to students and then go ahead and automate their own games. How would it be if every person could just connect their phone to their computer and run the code through a framework that does this. The aim of the project is to build such a framework and enable remote non USB based automation and providing Android with the community to automate UI testing of Android.

\subsection{Community Playground and Discussion Forum}
As the community becomes bigger, it becomes important to maintain and showcase all the amazing things that the members of the community have been building. This opens up opportunities for the project above to be interfaced and used here as a common playground where people could see the creations and the code along with the video or an asciinema equivalent execution of the automation on the device.
