Contacts: How to disable the device account and force contacts to be saved in a CardDAV account? #823

Dear maintainers, I have several elder people in my family whose phones I help to administer. One thing that comes up frequently is that contacts are being saved in the device "account" or in the google account, while there is a CardDAV account (Nextcloud via Davx5) configured and should be used. Is there a way to "disable" the device account (and the google account) in Fossify Contacts? And only allow contacts to be saved in a CardDAV account? So the accounts are not shown and cannot be selected. It is easy to get confused and select the wrong account and then they wonder why the contact is not in the CardDAV account. Hence I would like to make it easier for them. Thanks in advance! Kind Regards, |

Not really. Fossify Contacts defaults to the last used account for new contacts, so once you save a contact to your CardDAV account, further contacts will be saved to that account until you manually change the selection to something else. An option to set a default account for new contacts is planned: FossifyOrg/Contacts#9 |
