I cannot get the key binding for the menu to work

## Bug Report

**Current Behavior**
I type the escape code and nothing happens even when I set the code myself 

**Expected behavior/code**
I expect the menu to open but it does not

**Environment**

- emoji-copy version: v33.0
- OS: Linux, Ubuntu 25.10
