Window wiggles when hovering on some emojis

Current Behavior
When I open the emoji pane and hover over some emojis, the window starts wiggling in such a way that I can't select an emoji properly.

Expected behavior/code
Have a static window.

Environment

• emoji-copy version(s): 30
• OS: Fedora 42 × GNOME 48

Pretty strange behavior, might have something todo with each emoji's title size...

Hi, I’m experiencing this bug as well. I noticed that it only happens when I enable the Large Text option in the Accessibility settings.

I've tried v31 and the bug is still there. However, the patch works on the master branch make && make install, on both Wayland and X11.

It looks like this patch is not in the source code of v31 ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/emoji-copy@felipeftn.

Thanks for all the work that has been done on here on this.

I just updated to v31 on Gnome 48, Wayland, on Debian 13.1 and experienced this issue. I came to report, and lo and behold the main work had been made.

What follows are the other pertinent settings, as far as I can tell.
Under Settings > Accessibility > Seeing > Large Text is off.
Under Tweaks > Fonts > Preferred Fonts the settings are:

• Interface / Document Text - Canterall size 15
• Monospace Text - Monospace, Size 15
• Rendering
• • Hinting, Slight selected
• • Antialiasing, Subpixel
• Scaling Factor: 1.00
