No Weapon Firing Sound in First-Person View

While using weapons in first-person view, the firing sound is missing. Only the sounds of bullet casings and environmental impact are audible. However, when NPCs or other players fire weapons, the firing sounds play correctly. I've already tried reinstalling the addon and verifying game files. No other sound-related addons are installed.

I am assuming you're talking about first person while using the NPC Controller, in which case I tested it in singleplayer and I had no such issue. Are you in multiplayer? If so, is it a dedicated server or P2P?

No, I didn't use the NPC Controller or control any NPCs. I was using all the default weapons that VJBase adds: "Blaster, K-3, Ak-47, Glock 17, M4A1, MP 40, Flare Gun, SMG1, SPAS-12, .357 Magnum, 9mm Pistol, AR2, RPG, Crossbow, SSG-08, Crowbar". Tested already in singleplayer, dedicated server and P2P ─ same result every time: no firing sounds from any of them for all the listed weapons. By the way the standard Garry's Mod HL2 weapons are not affected.

Aside from that, this is the first time I am seeing anyone report an issue like this, I am suspecting you have something installed that's overriding the files or doing something bad in Lua. I can't do much more here, it would be best for you to clean out your addons.

Yes, I did clean out all my addons and keep only the Vjbase ─ it is still doesn't work as well as reinstalling the whole game. I'm literally out of options now.

Hey, man. I still need to somehow fix this issue. Your mod is great and I really like the weapons that it adds, but I can't even use them normally now. Please, think of something

I can't do anything because I don't have this issue and no one else that I know has it, thus I can't fix it right now if it's an issue in the base. The only things I can think of are something overriding the sound files or the sound functions, messing with player or networking commands.

Also if you see something in the code feel free to propose a PR.
