I have also started a similar tool which also give a trace of the rewriting steps done by the checker in dkmeta : https://github.com/francoisthire/dkmeta/blob/master/src/stats.ml
It might be interesting to share our effort, however currently it is impossible since there is no way to implement something for lambdapi and Dedukti.
