Welcome to the control plane for META-CHIIDS. This directory contains authoritative materials that define how the meta-project operates.
The project/ directory follows the Repository Authority Model — ensuring clarity about what's canonical, what's published, and what's in-progress. For the full authority model, see AUTHORITY-MODEL.md.
| Document | Purpose |
|---|---|
| AUTHORITY-MODEL.md | Repository authority rules: canonical vs. published vs. draft |
| ROADMAP.md | Development priorities, milestones, and timelines |
| GOVERNANCE.md | Decision-making processes and approval workflows |
| GLOSSARY.md | Authoritative vocabulary and term definitions |
| architecture/ | System-defining architectural specifications |
| _scratch/ | Non-authoritative drafts and experiments |
Control Plane (project/):
- Rules, workflows, and templates that tools and automation depend on
- Operational decisions and governance policies
- Schema specifications and contracts
Deliverables (docs/):
- Human-facing reports, guides, and published materials
- Architecture documentation and integration guides
- Curated outputs intended for readers
Drafts (project/_scratch/):
- Rough drafts, brainstorms, and experiments
- AI-generated discussion artifacts
- Non-authoritative materials eligible for promotion
For detailed promotion rules and authority guidelines, see AUTHORITY-MODEL.md
CHIIDS (CHI Integrated Digital System) is a meta-project that defines the structural framework for organizing all CHI research. It is self-referential: both the framework-maker and a meta-project following its own structure.
Purpose:
- Structural Framework: Database schema, ontology, and architectural principles
- Integration Infrastructure: APIs, workflows, and platform connections
- Coordination System: The "digital nervous system" connecting meta-projects, coordination, and execution
Status: Bootstrap (P0 - Critical Path)
See ROADMAP.md for development priorities and milestones.
