[BETA] Status bar theme not updated when changing app themes

Using the default light theme, the phone's status bar is still in dark mode (white). Switching to dark mode, the status bar remains in dark mode (white), but when switching back to light mode, the status bar does not follow. It should be in light mode (black).

is this only an issue on the chat creator page?
also, you are probably the only one testing the beta on a flip "dumb" phone. How is the performance of the app and the rest of the functionality on it? Is this the docomo?

Nope, happens on every page it seems. Def the convo list and individual chats.
Performance is amazing! Only complaint is the initial load time, which I saw someone else mention on a smartphone. The d-pad navigation leaves something to be desired, but the fact that it works at all is big. I can optimize this sometime soon - I did so for QUIK and I've used Flutter before.
Docomo is a carrier - Kyocera makes the phone. But yes, I'm on the A202KC (technically the same model as the KY-42C, just different carrier variations)

Thanks for the context. I actually have that phone to test with. Someone sent it to me so I could more easily test on it.

That said, I'm not totally sure what the issue is with the status bar. Do you know what Android version your phone is running? Or could you check?

As far as the startup time... Do you know approximately how many chats you have? Also, how long is that startup time exactly?

As for DPad navigation. That was something that was brought up to me a while back but I just never had time to mess with it

I'm on A10. Cold startup is 12s. Is there a way to check the number of chats without logcat? I can check the logs in a day or two.

I just released Beta 7 to github. Can you try that build out? I don't think startup time will be improved, but maybe the theme stuff is resolved? If not, let me know. As far as startup, not sure what i can do about that. If you can just give an estimate on the number of chats, either by counting or using the stats on the server details page. Though, those counts reflect the server stats, not the local stats

Cold startup is 4s, so that's much improved. I counted ~137 chats. The status bar color was not fixed. Unsure if I mentioned before, but happens across Material/iOS/Samsung skins
