Yes, we should update to the latest Android versions.
We should:

• investigate about the changes across the new APIs
• make the modifications to the code
• recompile the library
• publish the update (the publishing method is recently changed)

But there likely won't be a release anytime soon as I'm busy with other stuff.

Are you facing some problems using the current release on new Androids? In case please describe it here.
Do you have an idea on the modifications we should make?

I tried this but it doesn't work anymore. We especially need to downgrade the target SDK to make it work.
In the upper SDK we have to cover the permissions differently. Still the connection doesn't receive anything from the Bluetooth.
Do we have to re-create the library or are there any changes we can make and it works?
I think we need to shift it to kts build from groovy and add the permissions handling then we need to update the rest.
Also we may need BLE support maybe, I never worked with BLE but it seems due to the rapid popularity of ESP32, BLE will be required soon.
Can I work on it if you are open to receiving Pull requests?

Yes, we are open to receive pull requests.
You can freely fork the project and then pull your merge request into the issue-10 branch I created at this purpose.

We should start with a research and to write a list of the changes we must implement to reach the goal, in order to track all the modifications we should/will do.

Unfortunately, as I wrote on my previous post, for me it's not a good time when it comes to free time, and I could be slow to answer and to give feedbacks, thus in case please be patient.

Anyway, all the contributions are warmly welcome.
