one-click deployment for omi system ($300)

objective: ensure backend developers can easily run the omi system on their own hardware. ideally, any customer with a low level of technical expertise should be able to run it effortlessly.

i need to support one-click deployment for the omi backend.

you should learn about omi charts (k8s) and docker files first.

One-click deployment is not a big deal. Before the Omi backend can run successfully, you must spend a few days registering and setting up GCP, buckets, Redis, Deepgram, Pinecone, Typesense, and other services.

How to achieve the goal (any customer with a low level of technical expertise should be able to run it effortlessly):

1. Review all backend setup documentation and carefully describe each step
2. Create scripts (and instructions for AI agents as well!) to help properly set up external services
3. Add ready-to-go instances and expert services

Hi @beastoin , I’m starting to work on improving the OMI backend deployment experience.

My plan is to containerize the backend using Docker and provide a Docker Compose–based one-click deployment flow, similar to how projects like Dify handle self-hosting.

The goal is to eliminate local environment setup (Python, dependencies, system packages, process management) while keeping required external credential setup (OAuth, Firebase) explicit and well-documented.

Hi @beastoin - I’ve completed the one-click Docker Compose deployment as requested.

PR #4006 is ready for review and includes:

• Full docker-compose orchestration.
• Local mocks to address external dependency issues (Pinecone, Deepgram, etc.) by providing local fallbacks, allowing the system to run immediately without API keys.
• Automated setup via a setup.sh script that generates secure secrets and manages configuration.

It has passed an initial automated review, and security updates have been applied.
