[v3] Lsp errors for "Astal3JS".

I just created a new v3 app with ags init and i'm getting lsp type errors about Astal3JS both in the app.ts and Bar.tsx files.

I'm in arch. I uninstalled aylurs-gtk-shell and installed aylurs-gtk-shell-git from the AUR.

Just creating a config using ags init gives me the following errors on these files.:

app.ts error

Bar.tsx error

Any clue on what could be happening?

Where are you importing app from? For AGS v3, It should be something like this:

import App from "ags/gtk3/app"; // gtk3, since you want to use Astal3

In your bar, you don't need to define the application property, because when you create a window, it's already registered inside the App, and you can control it by the name you gave to it, which, in this case, is bar.
Afaik AstalApplication instances cannot be used as Gio.Application instances, it's a whole different object.

Thank you for your very detailed comment, but the issue is (and i forgot to clarify that on the original issue) that i'm initializing a new app with the gkt4 flag, because i specifically wanted to use gtk4 on the project. The app runs perfectly but developing it would be a pain in the ass with all the lsp errors.

If you're using gtk4, then you need to use Astal4's AstalApplication instance:

import App from "ags/gtk4/app";

The app runs perfectly but developing it would be a pain in the ass with all the lsp errors.

What is the content of your tsconfig.json file? Also, how does your project structure look like? There could be some types missing, try ags types -d . inside your project(this will regenerate all the types for your project).

I have the same issue. my ags bar works but lsp throws a lot of errors. here is my tsconfig.json

Same thing here, I tried to generate the types, but the LSP still complains about the types.

The code runs just fine, but I don't have types or auto-complete working because of that. I'm using Arch, and the code was generated from the AGS CLI; no changes required to replicate the issue.

Try adding "include" in the tsconfig.json. It should look like this:

i just downgraded again to v2, and tried again yesterday, it was fixed. i would guess it was the AUR package?

I already managed to solve the problem by reinstalling AGS, but I'm not sure what exactly caused the issue.
