Numerical Simulations of Galactic Dynamos

Task 1: Numerical Solutions to Diffusion Equations

  • Setting up the Diffusion Equation (setup)

  • Solving the Diffusion Equation using Crank-Nicholson Dirichlet Boundary Condition (simulation)

  • Solving the Diffusion Equation using Crank-Nicholson Neumann Boundary Condition (simulation)

Task 2: Numerical Solutions to $\alpha \Omega$ Dynamo Equation

  • Setting up the Dynamo Equation (setup)

  • Solving the Dynamo Equation using Crank-Nicholson Dirichlet Boundary Condition (simulation)

Task 3: Sensetivity of Solution to order of finite difference
