I have the Ntfy desktop set to run on startup. Sometimes I startup my computer and I am not connected to a wifi network or it takes a few seconds after Ntfy desktop has started for the wifi network to connect. Ntfy desktop gives me the fallback error and then when I do connect to a wifi network, the application does not re-establish a connection with my private Ntfy instance.
Possible solution: If Ntfy is unable to connect to the private instance, only fallback to ntfy.sh/app if you are actually able to successfully connect to ntfy.sh/app. In this case you could just display an "offline" banner at the bottom instead.
