Appimage doesn't restart as admin

For some reason the Appimage doesn't restart as admin.

I can confirm this issue on Fedora Linux 44 Workstation.

Environment:

• Kudu 1.48.0
• Official AppImage (144 MB)
• GNOME on Wayland (application started with --ozone-platform=x11)

The issue has been reproduced on two different Fedora 44 computers.

Behaviour:

• Kudu starts normally.
• Selecting "Restart as Administrator" opens the authentication dialog.
• Authentication succeeds.
• The current Kudu instance closes.
• No elevated instance starts.

Journal output shows that pkexec launches:

/tmp/.mount_Kudu.../kudu --no-sandbox ...

Immediately afterwards, systemd reports that the AppImage mount is deactivated.

This suggests the temporary AppImage mount disappears before the elevated process can start.

Please let me know if you would like additional logs or if I can test a development build.

Update: After several attempts, I managed to get Kudu running in Administrator mode. However, the problem is intermittent. Sometimes, after entering the administrator password, Kudu closes without reopening. Other times, the elevation succeeds. This has happened on Fedora 44.
